Zorohn Reed

Zorohn Reed joins the CUC men's soccer staff in the summer of 2019 as the graduate assistant coach.

Reed started his soccer career playing for Lane Tech High School from 2009-2012. As a Junior Varsity City champion in 2010 and Varsity City runner up in 2011, he was voted All-Sectional his senior year and earned the Most Valuable Defender award.

After graduating high school, Reed went on to Benedictine University where he played four years of NCAA Division III soccer. He was the Eagles' goalie for 43 matches, and started in 42 of those 43 matches. During his tenure, Reed led the Eagles to a 2013 NACC Conference Championship and was named to the All-NACC Second Team. In 2015, he was selected for the NACC All-Sportsmanship Team.

Since graduating from Benedictine with his BA in Social Science in 2016, Reed has been coaching at Lane Tech High School. He has worked in various roles for both the boys and girls soccer programs. During the 2016 and 2017 seasons, Reed served as the boys head JV coach and then became the varsity assistant coach for the 2018 season. For the girls program, Reed began as the junior varsity assistant coach during the 2017 season. From there, he went on to serve as the assistant varsity coach and goal keeping trainer during the 2018 and 2019 seasons.

In addition to working at Lane Tech, Reed also held a coaching position with the non-profit Urban Initiatives, which uses sports and games to help teach children social and emotional skills. He has also coached the 5th-8th grade soccer teams at Peterson Elementary School from 2018-2019 and has extensive club coaching experience, which includes working for Skomor and Power Strikers U15 teams.

Reed's coaching education includes ASEP licensing in Coaching Principals and Sports First aid. He holds a national goal keeping license, level one, as well as a license in USSF F and Grass Roots.
