Salvador Acevedo was added to the Concordia University Chicago Men's Soccer coaching staff in the fall of 2020.
Acevedo comes to CUC from Elgin Community College (2017-2019). At Elgin, he managed both the Men's as head coach from 2017-2019 and Women's, assistant coach in 2018 and head coach in 2019. During his tenure, he focused on restructuring a program to adopt a feeder system ideology and business model. Men's soccer became a Region IV Finalist (2018) while the Women's program demonstrated a strong season and attended the Region IV semi-final. Coach Acevedo's philosophy is based on personal growth and continuous development while representing a strong identity as an athlete, as a student-athlete in hopes of becoming a leader in the community.
