Eric Luzzi joins the Concordia-Chicago men's soccer staff in the fall of 2019 with nearly 20 years of collegiate coaching experience.
Aside from CUC, Luzzi is currently the Director of Player Development for the Arlington Aces Soccer Club as well as the Technical Director for Illinois Premier Alliance. In addition, Luzzi serves as an ODP staff coach for Illinois ODP and Midwest Region ODP and is also a Coaching Education Instructor for Illinois Youth Soccer Association/US Soccer.
With his current work on the club soccer circuit, Luzzi holds several licenses between his US Soccer "A" License, United Soccer Coaches Premier Diploma, United Soccer Coaches National Goalkeeping License, US Soccer Grassroots License and US Soccer National Youth License.
On the collegiate level, Luzzi has had a successful career, where he coached at Northern Illinois from 2009-2016 and made a second round appearance during the 2011 NCAA Tournament, which followed a Mid American Conference championship. Prior to his head coaching stint, Luzzi was the assistant at NIU from 2006-2009 and coached goalkeeper Joe Zimka to break the NCAA record for lowest goals against average in a season. He got his start in coaching at the college level at Saint Mary's University (MN), where he coached from 2001-2006.
Luzzi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Science Education and a Master's in Human Development, both of which he earned from Saint Mary's University (MN).
