Mike Peters is in his first season with the Cougars as a graduate assistant coach. He will coach the team's wide receivers.
Peters played in 27 games for Lake Forest College from the 2011 through 2013 seasons as a receiver. He recorded 27 catches over his first two seasons for the Foresters before erupting for 41 in his senior season; his 41 catches led the team and was sixth highest in the Midwest Conference. Peters accumulated 342 yards in receptions that year and four of his five career touchdowns.
Following graduation, Peters coached the wide receivers and tight ends at MacMurray College in Jacksonville, IL. The Highlanders' offense finished the 2014 season averaging 35 points per game.
A native of Buffalo, NY, Peters attended Kenmore West High School. He earned his BA in communications from Lake Forest in 2014. Peters will look to earn his Master's degree in sports leadership at CUC.
