Joshua Mol 2023

Joshua Mol

Joshua Mol joined the Concordia University Chicago Esports program in the spring of 2023, bringing a strong foundation in program development, competitive coaching, and student engagement.

Prior to his arrival at CUC, Mol served as the Esports coach at fellow Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) school, Milwaukee School of Engineering (MSOE) and as the Esports Coordinator at Harper College. In both of these roles, he managed all aspects of the program, including scheduling, practice planning, team promotion, and recruitment.

While at MSOE, Mol led both the League of Legends and Valorant teams to national prominence. Under his leadership, both teams made deep runs in the National Esports Collegiate Conference (NECC), finishing top three nationally and top four at the Teemo Cup, showcasing his ability to develop competitive, high-performing teams.

At CUC, Mol has continued that success. The Spring 2025 Overwatch Team finished with a 7-3 record, marking the most wins in program history, and earned the program's second consecutive appearance in the NECC Regional Tournament and the program's first-ever appearance in the NECC Division 9 National Overwatch Tournament.

Mol's experience across multiple titles and his ability to build competitive rosters from the ground up have made him an instrumental figure in the rapid growth of Esports at CUC.
