Kevin Garica was named the Graduate Assistant Baseball Coach in the fall of 2019. He will work primarily with the infielders and hitters.
He received his BA degree in Sports Management from Concordia University Chicago in 2018 and will be working on his Master’s Degree in Sports Leadership.
Garcia was a four-year member of the baseball team (2015-2018). Throughout his playing career, he was moved around in the infield until the end of his junior and senior year where he would primarily play third base. Garcia would assist the Cougar’s infielders and also help with the hitters.
After graduating, Garcia was managing a sport facility in Highland Park where he would also conduct private lessons. He also got connected with the Chicago Cubs where he became an assistant coach for the 18U Cubs RBI All-Star team. He has also received the CUC Baseball Walt Miller Award last year.
