Connor Nelson

Connor Nelson joined CUC coaching staff in 2020 as a Volunteer Assistant. 

Nelson came to CUC from the University of Iowa, where he spent his freshman and sophomore years as a part of their baseball team before being sidelined by injuries. Nelson was a part of the team’s first ever Big Ten Championship. Following his time with the Hawkeyes, Nelson returned to the Chicagoland area where he has coached with the OPRF Pack for three season ranging from ages 13-18U. During this time Nelson has also served as the A19 Pack Travel Director. Nelson also gained coaching experience as the head coach of the Joliet Dirtbags for the 2021 season.
 
In June of 2024, Nelson opened his own business where he offers private lessons with a range of professional trainers. Nelson is Driveline and Rapsodo certified and specializes in hitting and fielding.

He attended Oak Park River Forest High School, where he played baseball and earned the honor of West Suburban Player of the Year as a senior. He was also an All-State, All-Conference and All-Area honoree during his senior campaign.

Nelson graduated with a BA in Enterprise Leadership with a minor in Sport and Rec Management from the University of Iowa in May of 2020 and earned his MBA from Concordia University Chicago in May of 2024.
