ROMEOVILLE, Ill. The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's cross country team kicked off their 2026 season on Friday at the Flyer Early Bird Invite. The Cougars competed in the 6000m, taking sixth place in the Invite.

Leading the way for the Cougars was
Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill.), who finished with a time of 22:12.9, finishing 34th overall.
Nathaniel Boksa (Norridge, Ill.) crossed the finish line second for the Cougars with a time of 22:57.5. Close behind him were teammates
Julien Saltos (Chicago, Ill.) and
Elijah Klug (Springfield, Ill.) with times of 23:44.9 and 24:22.2, respectively. Rounding out the top five was
Dominic Carlson (Loves Park, Ill.), who finished with a time of 24:36.9.
