RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- After a dominating Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) opener against Rockford University, Kevon Lawson (Pompano Beach, Fla.) picked up NACC Offensive Player of the Week.

Lawson, a junior wide receiver, hauled in six passes for 154 total yards and three touchdowns in CUC's 46-20 win over Rockford. He hauled in touchdown passes from 54, 47, and 26 yards out and also recovered a fumble for a touchdown as the Cougars scored the game's first 39 points. 
 

Lawson and the Cougars have an early bye week, taking the rest of September off from games, but will be back in action on the road against Concordia University Wisconsin on October 3rd. Kickoff is set for at 2 PM in Mequon, Wis. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com.
