Concordia University Chicago Athletics

RIVER FOREST, ILL.- The Concordia University Cougars (CUC) women's tennis team welcomed Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) for their Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) match. The Cougars continued to battle until the final point but were defeated 7-0 by the Falcons. 
 
DOUBLES 

• At No.1 doubles, Amelia Engelman (McKinney, Texas)  and Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Ill.) battled through their matchup, continuing to compete for the Cougars but were unable to add to the scoreboard in their respective matches and fell 6-0. 
• Both duos of Sarah Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.) and Abigail Krueger (Brookfield, Ill.) and Aura Cortez-Cali (Berwyn, Ill.) and Hannah Upole (Hinkley, Ohio.) were only able to win one game each, resulting in both duos to fall 6-1.

SINGLES

• Engleman picked up a solo point in each set (6-1, 6-1) despite being on the losing end. 
• Shakir, Krueger, Gustafson were each able to score in one set but fell on the winning end, (6-1, 6-0), (6-2, 6-1), and (6-2, 6-0). 
• In the No.3 and No.6 singles, Upole and Cortez-Cali were unable to put any points on the board, falling (6-0, 6-0), respectively.
