River Forest, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's soccer team was back at Concordia Stadium for the afternoon to face off against the Jaguars of Governors State University. The Cougars maintained their offensive plays, but once the Jaguars made their sole goal, things slowed down, and the Jaguars inevitably took the match 1-0.
 
Inside the Box

• Nethan Gudiel (Chicago, Ill.) represented at the goal, contributing three saves to the Cougars.
• Adrian Adame (Cicero, Ill) took the Cougars' only shot on goal.
• Damian Navas (Chicago, Ill) was the player with the most shot attempts at five.

 
First Half

• Gudiel did an amazing job at the net, delivering a deep dive into a Jaguar ball, intercepting a potential goal.
• Offensive efforts picked up throughout the half with newcomers Victor Camacho (Chicago, Ill.) and Navas adding on attempted shots to the Cougars' stats, but they were unfortunately blocked; Leonardo Pedraza (Waukegan, Ill.) would also join the two in attempts.
• The Jaguars were the first on the scoreboard with a kick into the back of the net in the 34th minute.
• The teams headed into halftime, the Jaguars managing to keep their lead after keeping off the Cougars' offense.

 
Second Half

• The second half slowed down significantly; offensive efforts from both teams became a little more off-target.
• Gudiel continued with his close saves through the game, hindering any further advancement of the Jaguars.
• A potential goal was shot, giving the Cougars hope, but an offside against them was called, giving the Cougars only minutes to make up for their deficit.
• The low-scoring affair would end with the Jaguars taking the win, 1-0.
