RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- Helping to guide the Cougars to a 3-0 conference week,
Jake Mahler (Vernon Hills, Ill.) earned his first Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Player of the Week accolades for the season.
Mahler led the charge on the week batting .615 while slugging 1.231. He went 8-for-13 at the plate with eight RBIs and two home runs on the week. In the game one win over Benedictine, Mahler hit back-to-back home runs that put the Cougars on the board and shifted the momentum of the game. In the sweep over St. Norbert, Mahler was responsible for two doubles, including the RBI double that put the first run of the day on the board.
