River Forest, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago men's basketball team welcomed the Eagles of Benedictine University to their home court. After a very defense-heavy battle, the Eagles swept the Cougars and ended the game with a final score of 79-65.

First Half
The Eagles were the first to score, followed by a 3-point jumper on the fast break. The Cougars began their scoring with a driving layup from Yangoua. Willard showed off his skills with a 3-pointer. The Eagles retaliated with another three and a hook shot jumper, 12-5.
Ryker Johnson (Fond du Lac, Wis.) joined the scoring lineup with a driving layup. Williams pulled out his first 3-pointer of the night. The Cougars quickly put up a fight, putting themselves within two. A three from
Jacob Robinson (Saint Louis, Mo.) had put the Cougars in the lead for the first time in the game. The Eagles took the lead once more and left the Cougars at a six-point deficit. Williams made another 3-point jumper. Johnson came in with a three of his own. Brown tied the teams up at 15-15 after he got in a second chance layup. The Eagles gained a 15-point advantage, 36-21. The Eagles broke 40 as the Cougars continued to trail. The Eagles went into halftime in the lead with a score of 42-25.
Second Half
The Eagles, once again, got the first points of the half with a 3-pointer jumper. Yangoua tried to counteract this with a layup, lessening the point deficit to 18 points. Matthew Guthrie (Carlyle, Ill.) brought the lead down by a few points. Williams hammered down another three, 58-40. Robinson showed off with two layups, bringing the point gap down to 14. The Eagles tried to fight back, but
Andreas Louloudis (Thessaloniki, Greece) had put the points right back up with a 3-pointer. Willard landed a 3-pointer, putting the deficit down to 10 points. The point gap stayed above 10, even with layups from Yangoua. The Eagles began to stack up their points after regaining their bearings, 79-63. With 0:33 remaining, Brown landed the last driving layup of the night. The Eagles swept the Cougars and took the game with a final score of 79-65.
