River Forest, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago men's basketball team kicked off their Senior Day by welcoming the Stars of Dominican University onto their home court. After some perseverance, the Cougars took the game with a final score of 77-69.
Prior to the game, the Cougars honored their six seniors in
Darrian Williams, Andreas Louloudis, Kenton Pryor, Matthew Cardwell, Tommy Zimmer, and Ragen Morrison. CUC Men's Basketball and Cougar Athletics would like to thank these six for their long-term commitment to the program and to CUC.

- Darrian Williams (Garland, Texas) led the night's game with 19 points, seven rebounds, four assists and three steals.
- Aaron Brown (Joliet, Ill.) ended the night's game with 14 points and led with 10 rebounds - the remaining stats include an assist.
- Honore Yangoua (Williamstown, Ky.) concluded the night's game with 12 points, four rebounds, three assists, a block and two steals.
- Matthew Guthrie (Carlyle, Ill.) ended the night's game with 11 points, four rebounds and a block.
Here's What Happened
First Half
Yangoua collected the first points of the half with a jumper, which was countered with a layup from a Star. Guthrie got a layup on off of a turnover. Guthrie went back-and-forth with some Stars, both trying to take the lead. Yangoua came in with another jumper, 8-8. The Stars took on the lead, but a three from
Jacob Robinson (Saint Louis, Mo.) tied things up. The Stars retaliated with a three of their own, gaining the lead back. The Stars capitalized on their free throw, but Robinson came back in with another three. Some jumpers from Williams were made. Another three from Robinson was made, the Cougars leading by five. The Stars gained the lead back, 26-29. Williams was able to get a jumper in, picking away at the fluctuating lead of the Stars. The Stars headed into halftime in the Cougar against the Cougars at 39-33.
Second Half
A tip-in jumper from Yangoua got in the first points of the half, along with a layup on the fast break, putting the Cougars within two. Guthrie got in a jumper as well, closing in on the Stars. The Stars proceeded to fight back and still led by five. Guthrie was a powerhouse as he came in with another layup off of an opponent turnover. The Cougars bit back as Brown made a layup, along with a layup from
Ryker Johnson (Fond du Lac, Wis.). Free throws from Brown caused the teams to tie up. The Stars tried to counter this, but a jumper from Brown reiterated the tie. Brown and Yangoua tried their best to keep the point gap to three. A layup from Williams brought things down to one. A jumper from
AJ Willard (Germantown, Wis.) brought the Cougars to the lead and a layup from Brown brought the lead to three. Williams delivered a three, 69-65. The Cougars pushed their lead to 10 points, drowning out the Stars.
Tommy Zimmer (Steger, Ill.) came in with a dunk in the last seconds, sealing the deal for the Cougars. The Cougars took the game with a final score of 77-69.
What's Next
