Mequon, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's basketball team made their way to Mequon, Wis. for a mid-week matchup against the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW). After an intense game, the Falcons swept the Cougars with a final score of 107-82.

Here's What Happened
First Half
The Falcons were the first to get some points up with a layup. Honore Yangoua (Williamstown, Ky.) was the first of the Cougars to score with a jumper, followed up with a jumper from a Falcon. Williams had put the Cougars in the Falcons' tails with a layup, 4-5. The Falcons were able to get in a three, leaving the Cougars trailing by six points. Yangoua retaliated with a three-pointer. Brown got a quick jumper in, closing the score gap. The Falcons fired back, scoring five points. Kenton Pryor (Hazel Crest, Ill.) was added into the game and easily put down a layup and a dunk. A Falcon free throw had put the Cougars in a 10-point deficit. Brown had put some layups down, but the over 10-point disadvantage still stood. Williams fought back against the disadvantage with some layups of his own. Sebastian Hill (Decatur, Ill.) had put up a shot, but a Falcon three quickly overshadowed the Cougar shot. The Falcons continued to build their lead. Williams landed his first three of the night, along with a dunk from Yangoua, pushing the Cougars past 30. Robinson got in a layup, followed up by a beautiful three-point jumper, 33-43. Going into halftime, the Falcons were in the lead 49-38.

Second Half
The Falcons, once more, started off the half with a layup. Ryker Johnson (Fond du Lac, Wis.) got the Cougars to 40 points with a layup of his own, 40-51. Robinson had put the Cougar deficit back down to 10 points; this did not last long as the Falcons powered on to stack their points. Williams landed another three, putting the Falcon lead to 13 points. Brown was able to put down a three-pointer, putting the points under his belt to nine. The Cougars continued on their fight, keeping themselves in the game, even with a 22-point deficit. Williams and Brown kept putting up points, trying to shorten the score gap. Straight out of a timeout, Johnson was able to get a three-pointer in, 70-86. Robinson laid down a three, putting the deficit down to 14 points. The Falcons bit back and built their lead back up 21 points. The Falcons eventually broke 100 points while the Cougars struggled to keep themselves in the game. The Falcons took the game with a final score of 107-82.Â
