RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- The Concordia University Chicago women's tennis team would continue Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play with a mid-week matchup agianst Illinoist Institute of Technology, falling 7-0 desipite some promising battles.
DOUBLES
- Doubles duo number one of
Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Ill.) and
Amelia Engelman (McKinney, Texas) were the lone duo to pick up any game wins in their match. After battling intensely back-and-forth, they would fall 6-2 in their match.
SINGLES
- Engelman battled in the first singles match of the day, picking up three game wins in set one. Despite battling intensely in set one, she would fall 6-0 in set two.

Courtneye Schneider (Plainfield, Ill.) put up a fight in her own match. She would fall in set one 6-2 after a tight back-and-forth battle, picking up points in a tough late rally. Despite starting set one with momentum, she would fall in set two 6-0.

Kathleen Castillo (Elmwood Park, Ill.) was the final Cougar to pick up any game wins in her match after falling in set one 6-1 and set two 6-0.
The Cougars add in some non-conference action this weekend with road matches against Cornell College and Wartburg College on Sunday at 9:30 AM and 12:00 PM. Updates can be found at cucougars.com.
