EUREKA, Ill. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's soccer team took on the Red Devils of Eureka College in its first road matchup of the season. The teams were evenly matched in the first half, but in the second, the Red Devils found momentum and defeated the Cougars 3-0.
 
Inside the Box
 
First Half
	- After a bit of back-and-forth, the Red Devils quickly got off multiple shots in three minutes.
- The Cougars responded in the 16th minute with a shot by Wangandu. In the 21st minute, Ocampo took his first shot of the game, forcing Eureka's goalkeeper to make an outstretched save to keep the game level. Ocampo, Velasquez, and Kale continued to lead the offensive charge, but the Cougars couldn't find the net.
- In the 34th minute, Gudiel made back-to-back saves to deny the Red Devils a goal. Ten minutes later, Gudiel once again stepped up and denied the Red Devils, keeping the game 0-0 at half.
 
Second Half
	- Eureka quickly put CUC under pressure and found the back of the net in the 50th minute to take a 1-0 lead.
- The Cougars responded by prowling up the field, but Kale's shot in the 56th minute was blocked by Eureka's goalkeeper.
- On the other end of the field, the Red Devils seemed to have a breakaway, but great defensive efforts from Zizak and his backline kept Eureka from extending their lead.
- In the 66th minute, Velasquez had a fantastic shot to the top right corner of the net, but Eureka's goalkeeper was able to leap and get a hand on it to stop it from going in. The ball found its way to the feet of Miguel Figueroa (Chicago, Ill.) but his chance was also denied.
- Zizak continued to make saves from the goalbox, but the Red Devils managed two more goals in the 84th and 89th minute, taking the game from the Cougars, 3-0.
