RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) has announced its recipients of the FAR Award, with
Tyler Dorsch (Phoenix, Ariz.) named as one of the inaugural recipients.

The award was developed by the NACC's Faculty Athletics Representatives (FARs) to recognize student-athletes' outstanding achievements and commitment in three essential areas – academic performance, contribution to athletics, and service to the campus community. In addition, it recognizes the perseverance and determination demonstrated in the pursuit of success in those endeavors.

"I am truly blessed to receive the inaugural NACC FAR award. The Lord has been so good to me," Dorsch said of receiving the award. "I have so many amazing people around me who have helped shape me into who I am today."

Throughout his career as a Cougar, Dorsch amassed a career .296 batting average, 121 RBIs, 150 runs, 34 doubles, six triples, and 24 home runs. Just this season, he co-led the team with 62 hits and led the team with 71 RBIs. He was a three-time College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team honoree, a two-time ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honoree (2024 - third team, 2025 -second team), three-time NACC All-Conference honoree (2023 & 2024 – second team, 2025 – first team), and four-time NACC Scholar-Athlete. In addition, he was an active member of the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) for the past two years, serving as an executive board member. He also founded and was co-president of the Rotaract Club at Concordia University Chicago (CUC), which promotes leadership, service, networking, and professional development. Dorsch graduated Magna Cum Laude this past spring with degrees in Business and Management.
