MEQUON, WIS. – In their final regular season games of the year, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) softball team took the trip to their sister school in Concordia University Wisconsin (CUW) for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC). The Cougars fell in two games to the Falcons to round out the regular season.

GAME ONE: 7-1 L
INSIDE THE BOX
	- Alyssa Campos (Eastvale, Calif.) led the Cougars offensively going two-for-three at the plate with one RBI and one run after hitting her first career home run.

	- Only two other Cougars picked up hits on the day with Jessica Geng (Phoenix, Ariz.) going one-for-two at the plate and Arissa Santos (Moreno Valley, Calif.) going one-for-three at the plate.

	- Three arms dished for the Cougars in Megan Bouska (Plainfield, Ill.), Alyssa Lopez (Corona, Calif.), and Morgan Houfek (Rancho Cucamonga, Calif.).

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- The Cougars struggled to get going in the first inning with three quick outs that would put them in the field early on. Three consecutive singles from the Falcons would allow them to strike first and jump ahead 1-0. In the top of the second, the Cougars were able to level the score at one apiece with a career first home run from Campos.

	- The game would sit stagnant until the bottom of the third where a sacrifice bunt and a sacrifice fly would allow the Falcons to move around the bases and add another run on the board, taking a lead that the Cougars would not be able to overtake.

	- The game would sit 2-1 until the bottom of the fifth where three hits would give the Falcons an additional two runs before a strikeout from Houfek would put the Cougars back behind their bats.

	- A quick three up, three down would force the Cougars to play defense again where an additional three hits would give three runs for the Falcons and put the pressure on the Cougars heading into the top of the seventh. Needing to get some momentum to keep the game alive, the Cougars fell short despite two hits from Geng and Campos, ultimately falling 7-1.

GAME TWO: 9-1 L
INSIDE THE BOX
	- Campos continued to have a successful day going one-for-two at the plate with one RBI and one run after her second solo homer of the day.

	- Emily Garcia (Eastvale, Calif.), McKyler Morris (Belvidere, Ill.), and Emily Lucero (Chino, Calif.) were the only other Cougars to pick up hits in the game.

	- Four Cougars dished inside the circle in game two with Ashley Shroll (Tampa, Fla.), Eden Pufahl (Laguna Hills, Calif.), Campos, and Bouska.

HOW IT HAPPENED
	- Garcia led things off in game two with an easy single up the middle to put a base runner on early for the Cougars. Despite Garcia making her way around the bases, the Cougars would be unable to send her home and head to the bottom of the first still trailing.

	- After holding the Falcons off in the bottom of the first, the top of the second would see Campos leading off the inning. Not content with her first career home run in game one, the freshman sent a long ball over the wall in centerfield to pick up her second home run of the day and give the Cougars the 1-0 lead.

	- The Falcons would counter with a back-to-back solo home runs in the bottom of the second and steal the lead 2-1.

	- A quick three up, three down in the top of the third for the Cougars would let the Falcons put another run up and leave the Cougars trailing by two.

	- Despite a leadoff double from Morris and making her way over to third, she would be stranded and let the Falcons head right back to offense with nothing but momentum on their side.

	- With some defensive changes for the Cougars in the bottom of the fourth, the Falcons would be able to pick up four hits and three runs to jump out to a 6-1 lead while the Cougars would be unable to combat the. An additional three runs in the bottom of the fifth would round out the game in only five innings.
