Notable Performances
- Dayton Merli (Union Mills, Ind.) scored the Cougars' first point of the meet, finishing eighth in the pole vault with a height of 3.73m (12-2.75).
- Two Cougars qualified for tomorrow's finals in today's preliminary round of the 400m. Miguel Sanchez (San Antonio, Texas) and Vincent Scarnato (Pottstown, Pa.) placed third (51.01) and fourth (51.92), respectively.
- Austin Knight (Forest Park, Ill.) qualified for two finals tomorrow. In the 100m preliminaries, he finished seventh with a time of 10.94. In the 200m preliminaries, he finished second with a time of 22.16.
- Setting a personal record in the 400m hurdles preliminaries was Jamel Goins (Columbus, Ohio). His time of 57.31 secured a second-place finished and a spot in the finals tomorrow.
- In the decathlon, Matthew Cardwell (Cincinnatti, Ohio) sits in fourth-place after five events. He finished in the top three in three events today. He secured second in the 100m with a time of 11.75, third in the long jump with a leap of 6.00m (19-8.25), and third in the 400m with a time of 54.35.

- Travon Thomas (Wauchula, Fla.) set a personal best in the javelin throw with a mark of 30.32m (99-6.00).
- Both Adrian Mendez (Plano, Ill.) (2:04.37) and Kam Jackson (Chicago, Ill.) (2:11.66) ran personal records in the 800m.Â
