ELMHURST, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field team kicked off the Chicagoland Championships today, hosted by Elmhurst University. 

• Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.) set a personal best in the 3000m steeplechase. Her time of 12:26.79 secured her a top-ten finish.
• Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) finished 13th in the long jump with a mark of 5.14m (16-10.5).
• In the javelin throw, Breanna Walters (Poplar Grove, Ill.) led the Cougars with a mark of 19.03m (62-05).
