Men's Tennis Closes Out 2025 Season With Scrappy Match Against Scarlet Hawks

RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- The Concordia University Chicago men's tennis team took the home court one last time for the year to take on the Illinois Institute of Technology, falling 7-0 to close their season.

DOUBLES
  • Doubles one battled with the Scarlet Hawks for quite some time before falling 6-3. The duo of Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) battled back-and-forth with Feher and Singh of Illinois Tech, but the fast paced tempo of the match just wasn't able to be matched by the Cougars.
  • The doubles two and three each fell 6-0 despite a string of tight rallies between each.

SINGLES
  • On the singles side, the first to finish was Sam Smith (Munster, Ind.) who fell in his mathc 6-0 in each set.
  • Dickey battled in the singles one match, but ultimately fell 6-2 and 6-2, struggling to get points on the board for the Cougars.
  • The only other Cougars to secure points in their matches was Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) and Diego Loveshe (Franklin Park, Ill.) -- both Cougars fell 6-0 and 6-1 in sets one and two of their matches.

This concludes the 2025 season for the Cougars as they narrowly missed the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) tournament. The Cougars close the season 1-12 overall and 0-6 in the NACC, while picking up additional exhibition wins to close the year.
