NAPERVILLE, Ill. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track & field team competed in the final day of the First Chance Invite, hosted by North Central College.

Notable Performances
  • Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) set a time of 14.95 in the 100m hurdles to take first. She also set a personal best in the 200m, with a time of 26.46, to finish ninth.

Cougar Personal Records
  • Isom set a personal best time in the 200m, with a time of 1.49m (4-10.5).

Coach Andrew Chizzo had this to say. "The women's track team started with a PR in the hammer throw from Madelyn Smock and ended with a 200m PR for Eve Shelton on Saturday night. If the weather is an early indication of expectations, look out for the women's team to make some noise this outdoor season."

The Cougars' next meet will be the Chicagoland Championships, hosted by Elmhurst University on April 4-5. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
