KENOSHA, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago women's track and field team competed in the final day of the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) indoor championships today. The Cougars left it all on the track, finishing seventh of 11 teams, with 21 points.
Notable Performances
- Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) broke the school record, NACC record, and the NACC Indoor Championships record for her first-place performance in the 60m hurdles with a time of 9.05.
- The 4x400m relay team consisting of Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.), Hanna Holmes (Rockford, Ill.), Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.), and Shelton took fifth with a time of 4:25.19.
- Fairless also placed seventh in the 800m with a time of 2:29.41.
Personal Records
- Oas finished ninth in the 400m with a personal best time of 1:04.73.
- Breanna Walters (Poplar Grove, Ill.) ran a time of 6:12.39 in the mile.
- In the 3000m, Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.) ran a 11:12.24.
The Cougars are back in action on March 28th for the First Chance Invite, hosted by North Central College.
