Alma, Mich. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's basketball team made their way to Alma College to battle against the Scots. After some back and forth gameplay, the Scots defeated the Cougars with a final score of 67-89.

Here's What Happened
First Half
Vic Garrett (Chicago, Ill.) started off the scoring for the half with a layup; Lowery contributed some layups, helping to keep the Cougar lead at 10-6. Pryor had put up a good jumper, along with Andreas Louloudis (Thessaloniki, Greece), who ended up making the first Cougar three. The Scots fought back with layups, taking the lead from the Cougars. This didn't last long as a layup from Matthew Guthrie (Carlyle, Ill.) had put the Cougars back on top. AJ Willard (Germantown, Wis.) had put up a driving layup, keeping the Cougars up 21-18. Brown came in quick with two layups, leading the Cougars on a 6-0 run. The Scots gained the lead with a dunk, putting the Cougars within one. The Scots continued pushing ahead, going on a 10-0 run against the Cougars. The Scots took the lead going into halftime, 35-28.
Second Half
A layup from the Scots started off the scoring for the half. The Cougars finally broke 30 points with a layup from Ryker Johnson (Fond du Lac, Wis.), but the Scots maintained their 9-point lead. The Scots went on a 13-0 run before a layup by Brown broke things up, 32-49. The Cougars slowly started to close the gap; A layup from Watts and jumpers from Tommy Zimmer (Steger, Ill.) and Louloudis aided in that. Free throws by Johnson and Darrian Williams (Garland, Texas) did little to break into the 17-point advantage of the Scots. With 6:02 remaining, the Cougars remained at a 24-point deficit. Pryor and Watts delivered layups, but the Scots kept a significant lead. Layups from Watts helped the Cougars surpass 60 points. Nathan Nano (Norridge, Ill.) was able to down a 3-pointer with 0:41 remaining. Ultimately, the Scots beat out the Cougars with a final score of 67-89.
