  • Amelia Engelman (Mckinney, Texas) outbattled and with ease shut out her opponent through two sets, scoring 6-0, 6-0 for the win for CUC.
  • Courtneye Schneider (Plainfield, Illinois) demonstrated hard work as she battled through three hard sets. She was able to win the second set, causing the match to go on to a third set but unfortunately fell short, 6-3, 4-6, 7-10.
  • Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Illinois), Kathleen Castillo (Elmwood Park, Illinois), Hannah Upole (Hinkley, Ohio), Arriyanna Amison (Dolton, Illinois) fought hard in their singles matches but struggled when attempting to get points causing them to be unsuccessful in their match. Shakir, Upole, Castillo, Amison all were able to put a few points on the score sheet but ultimately fell short.

Doubles

  • Both duo one and three, Shakir and Engleman followed by Schneider and Amison limited their opponents in achieving points through the match and were able to dominate, allowing only three points combined to win the set.
