Box Score ROCKFORD, ILL.- In their return for the after the bye week, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) football team secured another Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) victory, finishing off Rockford University with a final score of 37-26.

INSIDE THE BOX
- Colton Bosch (Coopersville, Mich.) passed for a total of 221 yards, with four completed touchdown passes. Bosch was sacked once but had the longest pass drive for 61 yards.Â
- Joron Brown (St.Joseph, Mich.) led on the ground rushing 166 yards, including a touchdown.
- Wesley Jackson (Robinson, III.) received 4 total completed receptions for a total of 85 yards and two touchdown passes.Â
- Kevon Lawson (Pompano Beach, Fla.) followed in receiving yards with a 62 yard touchdown for CUC.
- Jayden Taylor (Southfield, Mich.) received a 28-yard touchdown.Â
- Kadin Stroer (Warrenton, Mo.) led the defensive line with 12 tackles, 9 being solos and leaving with a 0.5 sack with a forced fumble.Â
- Devean Shearer (Saint Charles, III.) followed Stroer with 10 tackles, 6 being solo.Â

HOW IT HAPPENEDÂ
FIRST QUARTER
CUC's decision to defer after winning the coin toss placed Rockford on the receiving end to start the first quarter. CUC was able to force a punt after Rockford struggled to get a first down. The next couple drives both teams exchanged possession back to back. After going back and forth, CUC was able to pick up the ball and Bosch drove down the field with a 57-yard pass completion to Jackson for the first touchdown of the game, putting CUC on the scoreboard, 7-0. With Rockford not able to produce on offense, CUC was able to regain possession. Capitalizing off a pass interference penalty against Rockford early in their possession, CUC was able to take advantage of the penalty position and rush for a couple of yards including Brown's 15-yard gain. Following the CUC yard gain, Bosch was able to pass complete deep middle to
Jayden Taylor for a 28 yard touchdown increasing the lead, 14-0. Ending the first quarter, Rockford back on the ball with a big play of a completed pass for 44 yards in CUC territory.Â

SECOND QUARTER
Starting off the second quarter, Rockford attempted to rush the middle for a gain of yards, only to fumble forced by Stroer and recovered by CUC. Both teams failed to score in the next four drives. CUC defense stepped up when forcing a sack for Rockford with a loss of 6 yards that led to recovered fumble by Rockford. With the loss of yards and incompletions, Rockford puts CUC in the perfect position in Rockford's territory to take advantage of. Bosch handed the ball over to Brown for a gain of 20 yards in the next two drives that led to a CUC touchdown, shutting out Rockford with a score of 21-0. Rockford's continued struggle on offense creates opportunities for CUC offense. After attempted tries Rockford was forced to punt with CUC regaining possession. Bosch was able to find both

Birch Run, Mich.) for a combined gain of 39 yards. With 13 seconds left in the half, CUC took a timeout to regroup that wounda up working out, for Bosch to find Jackson for a 12-yard touchdown giving the Cougars the 28-0 lead going into the half.Â

THIRD QUARTER
With Rockford punting to start the second half, CUC wasn't able to maintain possession of the return and fumbled that was recovered by Rockford. Rockford's tensions rose after a couple of uncompleted drives, only to gain momentum and find a completed pass through the middle for a touchdown, putting Rockford on the scoreboard, 6-28. Trying to go for a 2-point conversion, Rockford was unable to complete that attempt. CUC didn't like the sound of Rockford on the board, with Bosch finding a deep pass through the middle for 61-yards to Lawson for a CUC touchdown. Hoping to complete the extra point, CUC failed the kick attempt and was blocked by Rockford. At this point, CUC still led, 34-6. Continuing after the onside kick, they were able to get back to back possession. After a couple of attempts, CUC was placed in field goal position and the boot from Diego Marquez () was good from 22 yards, extending the CUC lead 37-6. CUC, having such a huge lead, forced Rockford to bring the energy and find the endzone with a 61 yards pass for the offense and a successful 2-point conversion, increasing the score 14-37. Rockford was able to pick up the pace and put a couple points on the board but still trailing CUC to end the third quarter, 37-14.

FOURTH QUARTER
Coming down to the last 10 minutes of the game, Rockford was able to come up with a couple of big plays. Including a 53 yard pass completion that forced CUC to take a timeout in the 4th quarter. CUC was able to break up a pass, only for Rockford to complete a 40 yard touchdown pass on the next play. Again trying the 2-point conversion, Rockford failed to get those points on the board, cutting it close the score being 37-20. CUC feeling the intensity that created a turn of downs creating another opportunity for Rockford. Rockford was able to put another touchdown followed by a failed 2-point conversion before the game ended, upping the score 26-37. Ending the 4th quarter, Bosch kneeled down, ending the game with another CUC victory. CUC dominated Rockford with a final score of 37-26.Â
