Mequon, Wis. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) Cougars women's tennis team was on the road for some Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) play against the Falcons of Concordia University Wisconsin. After close battles, the Cougars fell 6-1.

Here's What Happened

Singles

• Amelia Engelman (McKinney, Texas) picked up the lone win of the night for the Cougars after going into a three-set thriller. Engelman had a dominating first set where she won 6-1, but saw a complete reversal in set two where she fell 6-0. After a nail-biting finale, Engleman came back and took the win, where the scores were 10-8.
• Amirah Shakir (Dekalb, Ill.) rallied in her singles match where she put up a strong fight in both sets but ultimately fell 6-3 and 6-2.

Doubles

• The duo of Engelman and Shakir showed grit as they worked for each point they got, however their efforts were stopped short as they fell 6-2.
• Partners Kathleen Castillo (Elmwood Park, Ill.) and Courtneye Schneider (Plainfield, Ill.) as well as Hannah Upole (Hinkley, Ohio.) and Arriyanna Amison (Dolton, Ill.) each achieved one point but both were overtaken by the Falcons, 6-1.
