NAPERVILLE, ILL. – For the second consecutive week, the Concordia University Chicago traveled to North Central College to compete as the team finished in seventh place. A number of Cougars placed in the top ten while more added to the list of personal records.
TOP TEN FINISHERS
- Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) secured the top finish for the Cougars with a second place finish in the 60m hurdles final with a time of 9.33. Shelton also placed second in the 60m hurdles preliminaries with a time of 9.38.
- Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) followed behind with a third place finish in the 800m with a time of 2:31.07.
- Kirsten Bockhorst (Union, Mo.) placed fifth in the long jump with a mark of 5.12m, marking a new PR by more than a foot.
- Lydia Anderson (Carpentersville, Ill.) placed seventh in the 3000m with a time of 12:37.69.
- Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) placed eighth in the mile with a time of 5:58.83.
- Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) finished in ninth place in the high jump with a mark of 1.40m.
- The 4x400m relay team consisting of Hanna Holmes (Rockford, Ill.), Addi McKee (Knoxville, Ill.), Fairless, and Oas finished third place with a time of 4:26.16.
PERSONAL RECORDS
- Abbigail Placido (Geneva, Ill.) picked up two new PRs in the 200m and the 800m with times of 37.32 and 3:42.16, respectively.
- McKee ran in the 800m for the first time as a Cougar and set a new PR at 2:56.88.
- Madalyn Smock (Poplar Grove, Ill.) earned a new PR in the weight throw with a mark of 9.15m, breaking her previous best by nearly a meter.
