Plymouth, Wis. – The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's basketball team took on Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference (NACC) opponent Lakeland University this afternoon, on the road. The game was a nail biter, going into overtime, where Concordia ultimately fell 77-76. The Cougars are now 5-8, 3-5 NACC.

How it Happened
First Half
After going down 5-0 early, Brown put the Cougars on the board. Brown would score the first five points for CUC before Langendorf bagged the next three.
The Muskies would pull away in the next few minutes, extending their lead to as much as nine, 21-12 with just over 11 minutes remaining in the half. After taking a timeout, CUC went on an 8-0 run, started with a layup by
Kenton Pryor (Hazel Crest, Ill.) and ending with a jumper from
Tallis Lowery (Fairview Heights, Ill.) would put the Cougars within one.
Lakeland tried to pull ahead again, but an important three from
Sean Beckman (Hoffman Estates, Ill.) and layup from
AJ Willard (Germantown, Wis.) tied the game at 29 all with just over three and a half minutes on the clock.
The teams traded points, and the Muskies took a one-point lead, 33-32, in the break.
Second Half
The Muskies opened the second half on a 6-0 run before Willard put a stop to it. This jumpstarted the Cougars to out score the Muskies 7-3 to tie the game. With just under 11 minutes left, Langendorf puts up a layup to claim the lead, 43-41.
Watts banked two free throws to extend the Cougars lead to as much as five, but the Muskies wouldn't give up, tying the game up at 51 with 6:12 remaining. CUC pushed forward to tie the game back up twice more in the next five minutes. With 50 seconds remaining, Langendorf sank both from the line, reclaiming the lead, 59-58. Pryor extended the lead and sharp shooting from the line by Langendorf kept Concordia ahead, but in the final seconds, Lakeland was able to tie the game at 64-64 and force overtime.
Overtime
The Muskies put up two quick shots before
Elijah White (Sheboygan, Wis.) answered emphatically with a three-pointer.
Unfortunately, the Cougars could only pull themselves within one and fell 77-76.
