Shelton Brings Home The Hardware At NACC Championships

MILWAUKEE, WIS. --- With the end of the season approaching, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) track and field team, the squad made their way to Wisconsin for the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Outdoor Championships. The Cougars were able to make an impact across the board today at the conference championship meet.

Notable Cougar Performances
  • Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) took the lone gold medal home in the 100-meter hurdles with a new school and personal record of 14.79 seconds. She also picked up a second place finish in the 400-meter hurdles, earning her second All-Conference honor here and a PR of 1:06.58
  • In the 800-meter, both Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) and Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) earned All-Conference honors in seventh and eighth place, respectively
  • The 100-meter hurdle finals also found Jerzey Allen (Bevier, Mo.) with a fourth place finish, an All-Conference accolade, and a new PR time of 15.15 seconds
  • Joining her teammates, Madison Hipshire (Riverview, Mich.) became All-Conference in the 400-meter hurdles
  • The 4x100 relay team of Allen, Shelton, Daisia Wilson (Belleville, Ill.), and Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) became All-Conference after their fourth place finish
  • The other relay team in the 4x400, Shelton, Hipshire, Oas, and Fairless, also earned a fourth place All-Conference finish
  • Isom had an incredible day, having an All-Conference finish of fourth place in the long jump, also snagging a PR of 5.18 meters
  • Gabrielle Harding (Rochelle, IL) finished in third place in the hammer throw for an All-Conference nod
  • Finally, Jamie Seibert (Arlington Heights, Ill.) finished in eighth place in the heptathalon for the final All-Conference success on the women's side

Cougar Personal Records
  • Triple jump had a new PR mark in Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) at 10.26 meters and Ari Koepp (Belle Plaine, Minn.) at 9.69 meters
  • Elizabeth Clouse (Jackson, Mich.) had a new PR in the hammer throw at 29.79 meters
