Falcons Defeat the Cougars While The Cougars Fry the Muskies

RIVER FOREST, ILL. - The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) Men's Tennis team took on Concordia University Wisconsin for the first match of the day. The Cougars fell to the Falcons as they took the 9-0 win. The Cougars tennis team also took on the Lakeland University Muskies for the second match of the day. The Cougars dominated as they took the 8-1 win on their home court.

Match One

Doubles
  • The strongest duo of the doubles match was Collin Dickey (Frisco, Texas) and Nathan Stringer (Milwaukee, Wis.) where they fell 8-2.
  • Next behind them were pair Kevin Bullens (River Forest, Ill.) and Diego Loveshe (Franklin Park, Ill.), who lost their match win 8-1.

Singles
  • Joshua Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.) led the way, falling in his matches 6-3 and 6-2.
  • Trailing behind was Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) and Stringer, who were able to snag one point a piece.

Match Two

Doubles
  • Gustafson and Reynaldo were the strongest duo of the match, winning 8-0.
  • Following this pair was Bullens and Loveshe, who secured their match win 8-4.
  • The last duo of the doubles match was Dickey and Stringer where they fell 8-2.

Singles
  • Gustafson excelled, as he secured the 6-0 shut-out win.
  • Leal dominated in his singles match, walking away with the 6-1 and 6-2 wins.
  • Following behind is both Dickey and Bullens. Dickey won his singles match 6-1 and 6-2. Bullens earned his singles win 6-0 and 6-2.
  • Both Loveshe and Stringer both competed in the tie-breaker rounds, where they won 10-7 and 10-6, respectively.
