MILWAUKEE, WIS. – The Concordia University Chicago Track and Field team tackled the first outdoor meet of the season on a chilly day in Wisconsin as they headed up to Milwaukee to compete in the Wisconsin Lutheran Invite, placing 6
th out of 11 teams. Despite falling into the middle of the pack as a team, multiple Cougars found tremendous success individually adding to a large docket of personal records to their season tallies.
NOTABLE PERFORMANCES
- Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) had the top place for the Cougars on the day after finishing first in the 400 meters with a time of 1:03.34.
- Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) followed close behind with a second place finish in the 800 meters with a time of 2:34.25, picking up a new personal record.
- Also finishing top three was Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.) in the 5000 meters with a third place finish with at time of 20:29.31.
COUGAR PERSONAL RECORDS
Nine Cougars picked up new personal records on the day, adding to the infamous "PR Board".
- Karen Llort (Cicero, Ill.) – 14.61 in the 100 and 30.66 in the 200
- Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) – 4.92 meters in the long jump
- Jamie Seibert (Arlington Heights, Ill.) – 16.53 meters in the javelin throw
- Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) – 31.82 in the 200 meters
- Breanna Walters (Poplar Grove, Ill.) – 2:44.31 in the 800
- Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) – 5:30.92 in the 1500
- Lydia Anderson (Carpentersville, Ill.) – 5:49.00 in the 1500
- Ari Koepp (Belle Plaine, Minn.) – 9.45 meters in the triple jump
- Elizabeth Clouse (Jackson, Mich.) – 24.67 meters in the discus
