River Forest, Ill.-- A frigid morning at Cougar Stadium got heated up with some men's lacrosse action. The Pioneers of Carroll University (4-5, 0-0) toppled over the Cougars of Concordia University Chicago (0-4, 0-0). The Cougars gave it their all but could not stop the Pioneers offensively, and in result fell 16-2.

Seba Miller (Cherry Hill, N.J.) scored the first goal of the day for the Cougars assisted by
Zachary Lewandowski (West Dundee, Ill.)
-The second and final Cougar goal came from
Henry Hayes (Oconomowoc, Wis.).
-Two Cougars had time in the net today.
Peter Borkowski (St. Louis, Mo.) was the primary goalie and he picked up 21 saves on the day.
Alan Saban (St. Charles, Ill.) made his goalie debut and grabbed four saves.
How It Happened:

The first goal for the Cougars came from an offensive set in the first quarter as Lewandowski passed the ball to Miller and he found an opening on the right side of the field and launched a shot to earn a goal to bring the score to 2-1.
In the second quarter, Hayes got himself open by dodging multiple defenders and then slung a shot past two Pioneers and the goalie and found the back of the net. Hayes' goal brought the score to 12-2. Borkowski was making moves in the net to assure that he rallied up his save count. Numerous times Borkowski was making diving saves and showed major tenacity. Unfortunately the Cougars could not keep up with the Pioneers fiery offense and ultimately fell 16-2.
