Stevens Point, Wis. – The Concordia University Chicago women's track and field team closed out the indoor season at the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference Championship meet while picking up a handful of All-Conference nods as well as a few more personal records.
All-Conference Finishes
- Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) finished seventh in the 800 meters with a time of 2:32.55. This not only set a new personal record, but also secured Oas her first personal All-Conference finish. Oas earned All-Conference last season as a member of both the distance medley relay team and the 4x400 relay team.
- Jerzey Allen (Bevier, Mo.) placed fourth in the 60 meter hurdles on Friday with a time of 9.63 seconds. This earned Allen her second All-Conference finish.
- Noor Sammour (Berwyn, Ill.) placed eighth in the high jump with a mark of 1.46m to secure the sophomore's first All-Conference finish.
- The DMR team consisting of Oas, Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.), Breanna Walters (Poplar Grove, Ill.), and Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) took home the bronze finish with a time of 14:18.26 to secure the squad's All-Conference recognition.
Personal Records
- Maddie Hipshire (Riverview, Mich.) secured two new PRs this weekend with an 18th place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 28.68 and an 11th place finish in the 60 meter hurdles with a preliminary time of 10.85 seconds.
- Martinez picked up a new PR in the 3000 meters with a time of 11:36.47 for an 11th place finish. This shattered her previous record by nearly ten seconds.
The Cougars close their indoor season with a multitude of personal records and look to extend that into their outdoor season which kicks off on March 28
