RIVER FOREST, Ill. – The Concordia Chicago men's soccer team competed in its final game of the season, taking on the Stars of Dominican. The first half was a tight battle, but the Stars found their footing in the second half and defeated the Cougars 7-1. Concordia finishes the season 4-12, 3-9 NACC.

How it Happened
The Stars pressed early and found the back of the net in the seventh minute. A few minutes later, Gudiel will make a save to deny the Stars another goal. This spurred the Cougars forward, with
Xavier Avila (Berwyn, Ill.) taking a shot that forced a saved from the Dominican goalkeeper. Nevertheless, Concordia continued to push up and Poynter slotted the ball into the back of the net, assisted by Ocampo in the 18
th minute, tying the game 1-1. Avila and Ocampo would create more chances for the Cougars, but it was the Stars who found the back of the net in the 21
st minute to retake a 2-1 lead.
Omar Figueroa (Chicago, Ill.) had his shot saved by the Dominican goalkeeper and the Cougars trailed 2-1 at the break.
Gudiel was immediately put under pressure from the whistle, making a save in the 48
th minute. However, the Stars would increase their lead in the 54
th minute and then twice more in the 57
th and 60
th minutes for a 5-1 lead. In response, Poynter put a shot on frame, but had it saved by Dominican's goalkeeper.The Stars scored twice more to extend their lead further. Badillo had two shots saved towards the end of the game and the Cougars fell 7-1.
