AURORA, ILL. --- The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's track and field team track spent their Friday afternoon at Aurora University for the Aurora Grand Prix. The women's team finished twelfth out of twelve teams.

Honorable Performances

• Eve Shelton (St. Louis, Mo.) finished fifth out of 18 runners in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9:54.
• Aniyah Isom (Chicago, Ill.) was the highest finishing cougar in the long jump competition finishing seventh with a score of 4.87m. Isom was also joined by her fellow cougar teammate, Jamie Seibert (Arlington Heights, Ill.) with a tenth-place finish and a respective score of 4.75m.
• Shelton and Isom were responsible for scoring CUC's six points.

Personal Records

• Five freshman on the day earned themselves a personal record (PR) in their respective competition starting with both Saryah Dixon (Mount Vernon, Ill.) and Madison Hipshire (Riverview, Mich.) in the 60-meter with times of 8:36 and 8:96 respectively.
• Izzy Fairless (Royal Oak, Mich.) added herself as the third freshman to set up a new PR during the 800 meters posting a time of 2:38.68. Her fellow freshman Cougar member Breanna Walters (Poplar Grove, Ill.) set her PR with a time of 2:45.65
• The one-mile run witnessed three PR's on the afternoon. Tegan Oas (Shingle Springs, Calif.) was the first runner to finish with a time of 5:52:83, which is six seconds faster than her previous record set at the ONU Holiday Invite this past December.
• Ariel Martinez (Berwyn, Ill.) followed closely behind with her new PR of 5:53:36.
• Rounding out the third finisher for CUC was the fifth and final freshman Lydia Anderson (Carpentersville, Ill.) to set a new PR timing in at 6:28:35.
