RIPON, WIS. --- The Concordia University Chicago women's soccer team (0-3-0) (0-0-0) traveled to Ripon College (2-0-0) (0-0-0) but fell short with a final score of 2-0.
Â
Despite the loss,Â
Jamie Seibert (Arlington Heights, Ill.) contributed on the offensive end. She constantly challenged the Red Hawk defense by totalling six shots, five of which were on goal. Goalkeeper
Auloni Burnell (Riverside, Calif.)Â was working hard in the net and ended the 90 minutes with six total saves.
Â
Even with the relentless efforts of Seibert and the entire squad, the Red Hawks were able to capitalize on two well-timed opportunities in the first half. As the soccer season unfolds, it is clear that the potential is there.
The Cougars look to kick things off with their last non-conference matchup against Augusta College at home on Saturday September 9th at 1:00pm. To find all things CUC Women's Soccer visit cucougars.com and follow us on X and Instagram @ CUCWSOC.
