RIVER FOREST, ILL. -- In their season finale, the Concordia University Chicago Cougars took on a non-conference opponent as they battled with the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire Blugolds, falling 14-2.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blugolds got on the board quickly, picking up their first goal within three minutes. The aggressive offense from the Blugolds put pressure on the Cougar defense as they battled three shots in a minute timespan. Unable to combat the fast offense, the Cougars fell behind 6-0 with less than five minutes to play in the first period.
- After forcing a turnover, Pietrowski took control and got the Cougars on the board with her 36th goal of the season. The Cougars remained scoreless for the rest of the half while also holding the Blugolds scoreless for the entirety of the second period.
- Following a 15-minute scoring drought for both teams, the Blugolds kicked things into high-gear and went on a 6-0 scoring run over the Cougars in the third period.
- Falling behind more than ten goals by the third period, the Cougars kicked up their offensive efforts and found the back of the net once more on the day off a goal from Orenstein.
HIGHLIGHTS
The Cougars fall just short of post-season play finishing fifth in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference with an overall record of 4-10 and a NACC record of 3-3.
