Cougars Drop Game To Eagles

RIVER FOREST, ILL. — After being on the road for majority of this season, the Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's lacrosse team found themselves back in Concordia Stadium. Hosting the Benedictine University Eagles, the Cougars fell in this match with a score of 25-6.

Inside The Box Score:

In this match, CUC came in with a lot of fire to start the game. Lechuga would score three minutes into the game with an assist from Headley to go up 1-0. The Eagles would then score seven straight goals and end the first quarter with a score of 7-1.

To start off the second quarter, the Cougars would, again, find themselves some momentum. Tabor, with an assist from Cicero, would begin to chip away at the score 7-2. After a Benedictine response and a score of 9-2, in favor of the Eagles, CUC would strike again. Ploch from Vizi to try and find some room for the Cougars would lead the score to 9-3. After this moment, Benedictine would start to run away with the game as they led 17-3 going into the half.

Benedictine came out of the half scoring two more goals to get to 19-3. Cicero would then respond with an unassisted goal for himself and bring the score to 19-4. Also in the third quarter, Ploch snuck in his second goal of the game and Cicero's second assist to a score of 21-5.

Crossing into the last quarter of the game, the Eagles would score a couple more goals to solidify their win. However, Vizi would score one more goal in the final seconds of the game from Headley. The Cougars would end with a final score of 25-6 and a loss to the Eagles.
