COUNTRYSIDE, ILL. -- Facing another NACC opponent for the second day in a row, the Concordia University Chicago Cougars fell to the St. Norbert College Green Knights 7-2.
DOUBLES
- Â Two Cougar duos were able to pick up points as
Nathan Stringer (Milwaukee, Wis.) and
Reynaldo Leal (Weslaco, Texas) picked up a lone point in their match and
Caleb Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.)Â and
Diego Loveshe (Franklin Park, Ill.)Â secured a point as well.Â
- The Cougars were able to stay close with the Green Knights following the conclusion of doubles as a win by default left the Cougars trailing by one.Â
SINGLES
- Â After falling 6-1 in his first match, Leal battled in his second and was able to threaten his Green Knight opponent, but ultimately fell in the second 6-3.Â
- Following a similar trend, Gustafson fell 6-1 in his first match, but battled back to fall 6-2 in his second.Â
- Picking up another point for the Cougars, freshman
Joshua Gustafson (Merrill, Wis.) won his match by default and helped bring the Cougars to their second point of the match, tying their highest scoring match for this season.Â
The Cougars will be back in action on April 1st, when they take their home courts to take on the Milwaukee School of Engineering with first serve set for 10:00am.Â
