WEST ALLIS, WIS. — The Concordia University Chicago (CUC) men's cross country team had a huge race today as they competed in the Northern Athletics Collegiate Conference (NACC) Cross Country Championships. Competing in the 8k, the Cougars finished 10th out of 11 teams against conference runners.
The highest scorer on the day was Mauricio Xochitecatl (Carol Stream, IL), who came in 30th place with a time of 27:51.9. The next up to cross the finish line was Jules Dehove (Lachelle, Hauts de France), who finished in 73rd place with a time of 29:45.5.
Two Cougars picked up some huge personal records on the day. First, William Leonard (Oskaloosa, Iowa) had a 21-second betterment on his time at 30:24.9. Also, Jazael Rodriguez (Berwyn, Ill.) picked up his season-best time of 37:44.4.
The season is not yet finished for the Cougars, as they will compete in the NCAA Midwest Regional Championships in Waverly, Iowa on November 11th. Coverage for all of our sports can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
