WARRENVILLE, ILL. -- The Concordia University Chicago Cougars hit the course for the Gil Dodds Invitational for their first back-to-back meet weeks of the season.
TOP COUGAR FINISHERS
- Dominic Carlson (Loves Park,Ill.) placed first for the Cougars with a time of 29:52.6 for a 6:00.6 minute pace. Not only was this a top finish for the Cougars, but a personal best for Carlson by nearly 35 seconds.
- Nathaniel Hernandez (Harwood Heights, Ill.) followed closely behind with a time of 29:57.6.
- William Leonard (Oskaloosa, Mo.) cleaned up next with a time of 30:41.0, his best 8k time this season.
- Nathaniel Boksa (Norridge, Ill.) was the last of the lead Cougars with a time of 30:43.8.
PERSONAL BESTS
- Julien Saltos (Chicago, Ill.) picked up a new PR in the 8k with a time of 32:17.5, shaving nearly three seconds off his previous best time.
- Kam Jackson (Chicago, Ill.) also picked up a new PR with a time of 32:35.2, clearing nearly two full minutes off his old record.
- Gael Arroyo (Cicero, Ill.) picked up the highlight PR of the day, finishing with a 33:27.4, taking off six and a half minutes from his previous personal best, and his first 8k finish of the season.
