RIVER FOREST, ILL. — Wednesday afternoon brought the last home game for Concordia University Chicago (CUC) women's soccer (3-10-3, 4-6-2), who capped off the home schedule by welcoming the Edgewood College Eagles (8-6-4, 5-5-1) to River Forest. Despite both offenses's best efforts, it was the defenses who prevailed, battling to a 0-0 draw.

-How it Happened
First Half
It was a largely uneventful first half, as the first shot on goal did not come until the 19:31 mark when Edgewood's Marley Satran put one on net, but Burnell was there to make the save. CUC got their first shot on goal thanks to Alexander at 27:08, but Eagle goalie Hailey Hartel made the save.
Alexander put up another shot-on-goal two minutes later, but was stuffed again by Hartel. No one else put a shot on net before the halftime buzzer rang with both teams tied 0-0.
Second Half
Offense came a little quicker in the second half. Leah Doucette and Satran both found the net within 10 minutes, but Burnell continued to stand tall. Madi Johnson added another at the 64:09 mark, and Burnell added another save.
Johnson challenged Burnell once more three minutes later, with Burnell coming out the victor again. Johnson's second shot would be the last either goalie had to save, as the scoreboard read 0-0 when it hit the zero mark, clinching a tie between the Eagles and Cougars.
