Borkowski Grabs Career High Saves in Loss to MSOE

River Forest, Ill. – Back at home for another conference matchup, the Concordia University Chicago men's lacrosse team fell to MSOE 22-0.

Inside the Box
  • Peter Borkowski (St. Louis, Mo.) grabbed a career high 24 saves on the day, securing his second highest save percentage of the season.
  • Sean Dooley (Ocala, Fla.) grabbed six faceoffs on the day.
  • Amir Cavic (Des Plaines, Ill.) and Zachary Lewandowski (West Dundee, Ill.) each forced three turnovers.

From the jump, the Raiders took control and showed no signs of slowing down. Facing a shot within the first 30 seconds of the game, Borkowski started his venture into defending the net. CUC couldn't combat the MSOE defense, unable to get a shot off in the first quarter.

Fighting through the intensity from the Raiders, the Cougars were finally able to send shots on frame in the third quarter. Shots from Justin Headley (Baltimore, Md.) and Frank Dougherty (East Peoria, Ill.) couldn't get inside the cage, forcing the Raiders to do some work.

With intensity picking up and the Cougars fighting continually, they just couldn't keep pace with the Raiders. With a final score of 22-0, the Cougars will be back in action on Wednesday as they head over to Benedictine for a 6:00pm start time. Coverage can be found at cucougars.com/coverage.
