RIVER FOREST, Ill. --- On the day that the Concordia University Chicago men's lacrosse team celebrated their two seniors
Frank Dougherty and
Leo De La Torre the Cougars took on the Edgewood College Eagles.
Zach Cicero and
Justin Headley both netted goals on the day, but the Cougars fell to Edgewood by a final score of 20-2.
Edgewood got on the board early in the first. They had built their lead to 3-0 when CUC got their first goal of the day. Dougherty fed a perfect pass to Headley who wrapped around the net and snuck one past the keeper for his fifth goal of the season.
The Cougars got their second goal of the day in the third when Cicero shot one past the Edgewood keeper for his third goal of the season.
Peter Borkowski made 17 saves in the loss.
