River Forest, ILL – Back at home for the action today, the Cougars fell to the DePauw Tigers 15-2 to end their weekend series.
Inside the Box:
With a slow start to the game, the Cougars fell behind 6-0. But the second quarter is when the energy started to pump up. Battling back and forth on both offense and defense, Concordia finally had a chance to score with Cyrwus making an unassisted goal.
Madison Perkins (Louisville, Ky.), McGee and Kate Johnson (Lincoln, Neb.) continued to show out for the Cougars defense. However, they ultimately had a 9-1 deficit going into the second half of this game.
Throughout the third quarter, the Tigers were still able to find the net as they brought the lead to 12-1. To open up the fourth, transfer Pietrowski was able to make some moves and score the second goal of the game with an assist from Grace Miller (Hoffman Estates, Ill.). Ultimately, it would be a little too late for the Cougars as they fell 15-2 in this Sunday afternoon game.
