NEW ORLEANS – All-Region honorees for the
2022 NCAA Division III Indoor Track & Field season were announced by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA). The Concordia University Chicago had three athletes honored with All-Midwest region awards.
The top-5 individuals in each event from each region earned All-Region distinction, in addition to each member of the region's top-3 relay teams. The regions used for this award – East, Great Lakes, Metro, Mid-Atlantic, Mideast, Midwest, Niagara, North, South, and West – match those used during the cross country season.
Kayla Armstrong,
Zahra Sammour, and
Madeline Bobinski were all recognized by the USTFCCCA for their outstanding performances throughout the indoor season. Armstrong was a two-time honoree, being recognized for being a top five performer in the Midwest in both the 200-meter and 400-meter.
"It's an honor to once again have multiple athletes from our team representing the All-Region team," Head Coach
Steve Belanger said. "We are proud of these young ladies and all they have achieved this year and can't wait to see what they accomplish this weekend at Nationals!"
The three All-Region athletes along with
Simone Wilson begin their journey for a NCAA title on Friday afternoon at the 2022 NCAA Indoor Championships.
