MILWAUKEE, Wis. ---  Trying to keep pace with the conference leaders, the Concordia University Chicago women's basketball team headed north on Saturday afternoon to take on the No. 21 Wisconsin Lutheran College Warriors. The undefeated Warriors came out shooting red hot from the floor and never looked back, downing CUC by a final score of 77-49.

• Lauren Saleh (River Forest, Ill.) had a season-high 10 points.
• Alisyn MacGregor (Loves Park, Ill.) knocked down a season-high three threes and had six rebounds.

 
Wisconsin Lutheran scored the opening basket of the game on a layup. CUC quickly answered with a Saleh layup. From there WLC went on an 18-3 run over the next six minutes, going 7-11 from the floor. The Cougars got their lone basket on a Saleh three from the top of the key. WLC held a 28-7 lead after the first quarter.

CUC began the fightback early in the second quarter. Sarah Ludwig (Roselle, Ill.) and Mackenzie Straulin (Johnsburg, Ill.) both hit threes to gain momentum. The Cougars were unable to get closer than 17 in the quarter, and WLC would take a 44-25 lead into the half.

The Warriors continued to keep things going on both ends of the floor in the second half, leading to a 77-49 win over the Cougars.

With the loss, CUC falls to 6-8 overall and 5-4 in NACC play. Wisconsin Lutheran improves to 13-0 overall and 9-0 in NACC play.
