Box Score De Pere, Wis. -- The Concordia University Chicago men's soccer team traveled up to St. Norbert College for a conference showdown Saturday afternoon. This was the first meeting between the teams since St. Norbert joined the Northern Athletic Collegiate Conference earlier this year, and just the second all-time. The Golden Knights emerged by a final score of 3-1, handing the Cougars their first loss in their last five matches.
Senior Fabian Aranda (Warrenville, Ill.) and juniors German Tinoco (Lyons, Ill.) and Alberto Arellano (Chicago, Ill.) all managed shots on goal for the Cougars in the first half. The Green Knights tailed eight shots, however, and two found the back of the net.
CUC played well in the second half of the game thanks to a strong offensive push. In the final minute of the match, sophomore Michael Frank (Fort Wayne, Ind.) scored his first goal of the season. Junior Austin Montejano (Zion, Ill.) assisted on the goal.
